Giridara Open Prison Project is an in-depth look into the one of the oldest problems in history;  rehabilitation of criminals, and implementing a solution in the modern-day Sri Lanka.  

Focused to address the constant increase of re-conviction level in Sri Lanka, The Giridara Open Project follows under a strict guideline in choosing the inmates to help through. 

Situated in the strategically chosen city of Giridara, the Open Prison will act as bridging unit between the society and the inmates. The Open Prison contain many convertible open spaces that are used for work-shops, classes and exhibitions. The constant input and output into building themselves up will be make the inmates integration back into the community smoother and successful.
